1. What you are getting

WeType is a macOS application published by Aryaan Qaiser. Buying a licence gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it. You are licensing the software, not buying ownership of it, and it is not open source.

2. Requirements

WeType requires an Apple Silicon Mac and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs are not supported. It also requires you to download a language model inside the app, which is between 379 MB and 4.5 GB depending on which one you choose. These requirements are stated on the compatibility page before purchase; if your Mac does not meet them, the software will not work, and the refund guarantee in section 5 covers that case.

3. The free trial

The download is the trial. It runs for 5 calendar days from first launch and lets you accept up to 100 words per day, with the count resetting at local midnight. Every feature is available during the trial; the only limits are those two.

• No account, card or email address is required to start it.
• It does not convert into a paid plan automatically. Nothing charges you, ever, unless you choose to buy.
• When the 5 days end, suggestions stop until a licence is entered. The app and anything stored on your Mac stay exactly as they are.

4. Pricing and payment

WeType costs $20 as a one-time lifetime licence, or $6 per month. Both unlock the identical application. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are; tax is calculated at checkout.

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, who act as merchant of record. They are the seller on your receipt, and they handle tax collection and remittance. Your card details are never seen or stored by us. On purchase, LemonSqueezy emails you a licence key, which you paste into WeType to unlock it. Activating a key contacts LemonSqueezy’s License API to verify it.

A lifetime licence includes all future updates and does not expire. A monthly subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.

5. Refunds

30-day money-back guarantee on both plans, for any reason. Email support@wetype.tech within 30 days of purchase and the payment is refunded. You do not have to justify the request.

6. Cancellation

Cancel a subscription at any time from the LemonSqueezy customer portal . Enter the email you bought with and follow the link it sends you. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; nothing is prorated back, and nothing further is charged. After that WeType returns to the trial rules. A lifetime licence has nothing to cancel.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• share, resell, sublicense or publish your licence key;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the application, except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
• use it to break the law or to infringe anyone else’s rights.

A licence key found to be shared publicly may be deactivated. Where that happens we will tell you first.

8. Your data and your text

WeType processes text on your Mac and transmits none of it. We claim no rights over anything you write with it, and we cannot see it. What the app stores locally, and how to delete it, is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Warranty and liability

WeType is provided “as is”. Predictions come from a statistical language model: they will sometimes be wrong, inappropriate, or simply not what you meant, and you are responsible for what you accept into your own documents and messages. Check what you send.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability arising from your use of WeType is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or affects statutory consumer rights you have where you live, including, in the UK and EU, rights to a remedy where digital content is faulty or not as described.

10. Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top says when they last did. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to a purchase already made. The terms in force when you bought are the ones that govern that purchase.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of the country you live in.
